How do I sell Bitcoin to Euro

Step 1: Place an order to sell Bitcoin

In contrast to many other brokers, SATOS does not require you to create an account to trade Bitcoin. The first step in the Bitcoin selling process is to enter the amount of Bitcoin you like to sell. You can also enter the amount in euros you would like to receive. The computer will then automatically calculate the other amount based on the exchange rate. Click on ‘Place order’ once you are ready.

Step 2: Confirm your order

You will now be asked to enter your personal details. We require this information to finalise your transaction. At the top of the page, you can also see the amount of EUR we will pay for your Bitcoin. The only remaining data we require of you are your email address, your bank account number, and the name of the account holder. Have you finished entering all this information? Congratulations, you are nearly done! Click on ‘Confirm order’ to confirm your transaction.

Step 3: Send Bitcoin to SATOS and receive your euros

The final step is to send your Bitcoin to a SATOS wallet address. You will be shown an address which you can use to send us your Bitcoin. It is vital that you select an appropriate transaction fee. This ensures that we will receive your Bitcoin before your order expires. Most Bitcoin wallets automatically display a recommended and customary transaction fee. Once you have uploaded your transaction to the network, you will only need to wait for the confirmation of the miners. We will then directly transfer the euros to your bank account. How long does it take before I receive euros on my bank account?

You have decided to sell your Bitcoin, and now you would like to know how long it takes before you can expect to receive your payment in EUR on your bank account. The length of this process depends on a couple of factors.

SATOS processing time

We generally process orders within 15 minutes. Keep in mind that if this is your first transaction on our platform, that you may need to complete a couple of one-time verification steps. Fortunately, this is a one-time process: once you have completed this, you will be able to sell and buy Bitcoin through SATOS without any delay. The amount in euros you will receive on your bank account is in principle fixed from the moment you complete the first step of the selling process.

Processing time of the Bitcoin network

The speed of the Bitcoin network is also a factor to take into account. If the system is currently facing a lot of traffic, it might take a bit longer before miners successfully add your transaction to the blockchain. This is partly dependent on the transaction fee you have selected. How does this work? Every block on the blockchain is limited in space. Therefore, miners need to choose which transactions they will process during the next block. Obviously, miners want to make as much profit as possible, which is why they will attempt to fill the blocks with transactions that have high fees. So, the higher your payment, the better the chances of your transaction being mined into the next block.

Bank processing time

We are also dependent on the processing time of banks. Unfortunately, banks are generally not as fast as the Bitcoin network. It might take them a while to complete the processing of your order. Besides, banks are often closed on the weekends. It's possible that you will have to wait until the next working day before your euros appear on your bank account. As a rule of thumb, you can expect bank payments to be processed on the same day as long as they have been initiated before 3 PM. Payments sent after 3 PM are usually processed the next working day.
